    Question 1, Can somebody further explain the reason the answer giving pls.
    Is is because R3 and S2 are directly connected to R2?

    Yes, you are correct R3 and S2 are directly connected and the reason is that CDP is a data link layer 2 protocol that gives more detail through the switch. Where as the router will show only the most directly connected.
