    Aya ya!! Finally passed the ICDN1 this evening. Thanks to Dave and 9 tut. Two Sims- Security and DHCP, ACL, NTP – very similar to what we have on here. You want to pass, play with the Sims. I only used ” Show run, Show clock, show nts status’ commands. NTP server was not enabled on one of the devices. Clock was synchronized on one server but not on the other. An ip address was blocked by ACL. You will see it with ” show run” command.

    About 15 new questions though Cisco said not all 63 were graded. This site is a great resource folks. All the questions posted by Pl413r above plus many others from the new questions were on there. Got done 20 minutes early. Onto ICDN2. Thanks everyone…

    guys, dont wast your money by going the exam now, eventually they will release it, we just give cisco more money by going to the exam,

    @philphil

    I studied the Wendell book and did lots of practice on cisco packet tracer. Then after getting a grip of it all i did the 274Q dump on here and Dave’s Qs along with going back over all the pages as there are some additional Qs on here. I would also do some research of your own on the answers given here because this will give you a better understanding if they have new Qs on the exam.

    IMPORTANT:
    Make sure you practice the SIMS – i think they are worth around 30-40% of the exam, so if you fail those then it will be impossible to pass!! @Dave’s SIM package was really good for this!!!

    Main commands i used in the exam:

    sh run
    sh ip int brief
    sh ntp status (on my exam R3 – i think – did not have ntp server setup)

    Good luck! 🙂

    Hallo. I took Test today and i passed with 883. I have a lot of new questions. For example:
    Q:What is default by NTP?
    A: Something with key is 1 ( don’t remember rest)
    Q: CEF is disable when this is enable
    A:multicasting
    RIB
    Something with ip ( Don’t remember more)
    Sorry for my englisch
    PS. I had a SIMs with NAT,DHCP,ACL and the answers from Dave’s Sims weren’t correct, so you have to read the configs exactly.

  6. Kameinsuu
    December 9th, 2016

    The Dave’s sims are just for training purposes. If you practice them, you will know how to handle any of the questions on the Sims. The answers will never be the same. Once I saw the exact DHCP topology, I knew exactly how to attack the questions and which commands were required. If you really want to pass, don’t overlook Dave’s Sims. The questions in the Security testlets are the same but a lot of confusing and unnecessary things were thrown in there. When you do “show run,” you see stuffs that have no effects on the answers.

    Boa sorte!!

    Pass the INCD1 today second time around, 54 questions (i’m sure i had 56 last time!), passing score was 832, i achieved 930.

    I had the IPV6 tunneling and CEF questions again (pretty sure i didn’t get those correct), and 3-4 new questions on adding/enabling license features, the other was something about what adding an AP would do to the existing broadcast/collision domains – sorry can’t remember the exact specifics, but revise hard and make sure you have your bases covered, also didn’t have any drag and drop questions.

    Thanks to all for support, big shout out to Anon for his encouragement. ICND2 exam booked for the 22nd, it’s going to be a busy xmas!

    I know the config changes each time so the main idea is to just know the commands and what you are looking for

    Completed the ICND1 100-105 exam yesterday, 980. Have to say, i didnt know about this site until the day of my exam. I went through the material a time or two, which just solidified my understanding of the exam. All-in-all, i would say that i had a majority of different questions, but a few from here. I feel that if you truly know and understand the information, then this site should serve as a rally good final review before your exam. Well worth the little bit of cash it cost. Thank you.
    Few answers to some of the chats.
    There were no sims on OSPF in 100-105, had a multiple choice question about OSPF’s admin distance, that was all.
    For frame sizes: know the difference between MTU (only payload) and Ethernet (Payload with header/trailer) frame size .. on the test the Baby giant MTU = between 1500 and 1600, test answer was 1518.

    Passed the ICND1 , 883/832. Thanks to PL413r and CISCOTTE for the links.

    Remember definition of ping, echo request and echo reply all within 2s, about 90% of the other questions are from the “Composite Quizzes” and the “ICNDv3 Questions” on the premium page. The answers for DHCP and RIPv2 SIMS are changed due to the configuration. For example, I got R1 blocking R2’s LAN network with an ACL instead of blocking the Server with an ACL. The Security Testlet was on the exam with the same exact answers. OSPF not on it.

    On to ICND2!!!!!

    1. Problem: Traffic destined to R3 sourced from R2 is forwarded to R1 instead of R3.
    Answer: RIO Version 2 not enabled on R3

    2. Problem: Examine R1 routing table, determine correct statement.
    Answer: Traffic that is destined to 10.10.10.0/24 from R1 LAN network uses RIPv2 instead static route because the static route AD that is configured is higher than the AD of RIPv2.

    3. Problem: What is the reason R3 is not receiving the IP address via DHCP?
    Answer: On R3, DHCP is not enabled on the interface that is connected to R2

    4. Problem: What is the reason R2 is not receiving NTP updates from R1?
    Answer: Ip address that is used in the NTP configuration on R2 is incorrect.

    5. Problem: Why applications installed on PCs in R2 LAN network 10.100.20.0/24 are unable to communicate with Server 1?
    Answer: Standard ACL statement configured on R2 is blocking traffic from Server 1 network.

    6. Problem: users complain they are unable to reach internet sites.
    Answer: Nat configuration on the interfaces are incorrectly configured/

    Let me know how your test goes, I failed it by seven point. This sim was on the test and I didn’t know how to go about it. Now that I know better, I am rescheduling.

    Hi Sam, OSPF is still valid on the 100-105 test. Characteristics, definition, configuration, etc. are items you will see on your test. You will also see IPv6 questions that will ask you which are valid IPv6 addresses, also some of their characteristics. If you have a recent 100 -105 dump they’ll be there.

    @Anonymous
    16 bits …cause 16bits is reserve for class B and you only have 16 left for hosts that you can you for subnetting.

    @Sam
    which one is the right option for this question ? I see different answers everywhere
    Which statement about native VLAN traffic is true?
    A. Cisco Discovery Protocol traffic travels on the native VLAN by default. X
    B. Traffic on the native VLAN is tagged with 1 by default.
    C. Control plane traffic is blocked on the native VLAN.
    D. The native VLAN is typically disabled for security reasons.

    Explanation: B is wrong cause traffic on native vlan 1 is not tagged. C and D is just very wrong!

    Thanks for your help everyone, i got it. The dumps are valid and the sims are really useful, so work well around the sims! and the collaboration for new questions in the forum are also very usefull.

    “ICND1 – Security Questions” forum was really really use full for the security SIM .

    there is no OSPF by the way. and only show command in the SIMs for ICND1

    Passed with a 918 on friday.

    Sims were security and one with NTP, DHCP, and access-list. Just like in dave’s package. Actual config might of been different, just know your show commands and you will be good.

    As far as questions most i got were from the quiz in dave’s package as well as the composite quizzes on here.

    One question i got that was wrong on the dumps was the one about the vlan config. The correct answer is the vlan is not added to the database until you exit vlan config mode.

    On to ICDN2.

    In the V3 question bank the question where it asks what entry in routing table represents the subnet mask is the prefix not the network mask

    Hi guys. I have passed exam. I had very similar sim tasks like @DB and at the end of my exam I got 4-5 new questions but I have to say that there were a plenty of questions from 274q pdf. So I wanna say thank you for this community to share your materials and experiences with everyone.

    @DB

    Well done DB !!
    Just on the Vlan question ,
    I’ve tested this using packet tracer, first doing a sh flash to confirm no vlan.dat file exists on the switch .
    Once I enter config#vlan 10 and if i do sh flash from the vlan-config prompt I can see the vlan.dat has now been created. This is before I have exited the vlan-config prompt.

    I have passed the test ICND1 with 836. I had 54 questions and probably 50 were in the premium membership of 9tut. Thank you all.
