    Hi Friends,

I am please to inform you all that I have completed my CCENT certification today with an 878.

Thanks a lot to Adil,Maverick,Anon, Haji and all the other members who contribute to the forum regularily.

Thanks a lot 9tut… without you I wouldnt clear it.

Few handy pointers for all those preparing for CCENT :

    1. Go through all the LAB’s and SIM’s on 9tut well… The same appear in the exam with some minor tweakings.

    2. Study your concepts very well.. Dont rely completely on dumps… You would find approximately 40% from outside you would not have seen

    3. Study the dumps but dont memorize… Try to reason it out.. if you have doubts discuss on the forum

    4. Over and above be very careful with the wordings of the exam… Cisco is very tactical in its English!!!

All the best to all… ICND 2 here I come!!!

Took my ICND1 yesterday and passed with an 840. A lot of the problems were from P4S, and some sims listed here as well.

My problems came in with an interesting TestLet they gave me that gives you a router and a switch, both connected to a separate host and asked to find security holes, and featured some commands in the running-config that I had never seen before in all my studies.

If you saw “password t$nletu, no login, transport input telnet ssh” on the vty lines what would that mean?

Both of them also used “username user password 0 cisco”, and on that I’m not sure what the effect of the 0 & cisco on the end is. If anybody can explain these a little bit let me know because it stumped me. There was also a lot of higher-level config thrown onto these 2 devices so it was really a mess.

Aside from that I had a lot of drag and drops (easy stuff), and basically the only commands I ever had to type into a CLI were enable, show run, and show cdp neighbors.

    Failed ICND1 – 750

    Attention: 9tut

Any chance you could get around to putting these sims up.

I got all of those in my exam. 🙁 plus the ones on your site.

do not rely on pass4sure or any braindump only got 3 questions from there.

Wel.. passed ICND1 with 900+ points.. If you want to pass just read the book, read the cram session, watch the nuggets, read 9tut.net/com and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.. all you have to do is practice and understand the logic of how things work and it’ll work out fine 🙂 Forget braindumps .. they are pretty much useles..

I failed ICND1 today. Only scored 778. I also had the same question about Phishing, Trojan, Spyware and Virus. Also, I had the simulation about comparing switch and router and another simulation about PC being disconnected and what will it do as discussed above. I think I spent way too much time on this question.

I saw the 9tut.net before my ICND1 exam but unfortunately I overlooked and then paied price because one of the simulation I saw here was in the test and It took me almost 20 minutes to complete. But no worries I still passed the test.

    Good job 9tut.net

    passed ICND1

    804 passing score, I got 914

    50 questions

Finished with 40 minutes to spare, was very very easy. I could have gotten 950+ if I had paced myself better and spent more time on the exam.

I didn’t use the online material aside from this website. It’s pointless to memorize questions and answers. If you want to be a network engineer you need to learn the material, learn the concepts and best practices. Sure it might help you pass, but in the real world there is no test dump to solve problems for you. I used the Cisco Press ICND1 book, I have the CCNA/ICND2 book I am reading now for the second test.

Also, reading Cisco’s own website and configuration guides help a lot too because they explain why you need every command, not just which commands to use.

Passed ICND1 Ireland on Saturday. Two sims off this site Implementation 1 and 2. Had the hard security sim with switch and router only got 50% on that and another sim with a switch and two hubs asking qustions about layer2 switching. All in all not a bad test. Uses Wendell odoms ICND1 book, cbt nuggets and pfs oh an this site. Great stuff by the way

    July 12th, 2010

Friends, I took the ICND1 exam today for the second time and passed with a 901. I failed a month ago with a 711. Also, I had 26 minutes left on the timer this time around.

“9tut.net” is a very good site to go over, especially for the simulations. Also, the “pass4sure dump” is good because it gets you in the right mind set on taking this exam.

at my first attempt, the simulation where you had to insert two routers and 1 switch threw me and I screwed it up. This time, after working with it in packet trace, I flew right through it, and the best part, I understood everything that I was doing.

    My study plan:
watched CBT Nuggets ICND1 video twice. First time took notes and paid close attention. Second time I looked for things I did not get the first time around.
watched Train Signal ICND1 video twice, same idea as CBT Niggets
read Cisco Press ICND1 text by Wendell Odom twice. Paid attention to Key Points at the end of each chapter, and the test at the beginning of each chapter.
worked with the Packet Tracer 5.1. Practiced every command in the book (close attention to the following: “show cdp neighbors, show ip int brief, show run”)
read over ICND1 Notes on Cisco Learning site.
practiced subnetting, using subnetting questions web site (google it) 30 minutes to one hour at least 5 TIMES A WEEK. Drill it into your head. Develop a very fast method of subnetting. I developed my own and was flying through the subnetting questions.

I took my time studying and spent roughly 5 months…I feel like I am an expert at this stuff now because of all that time I spent focusing on this. I’m talking about weekends in the library and nights in the bookstore coffee shops. You should do it this way if you REALLY want to GET ALL you can out of your studies.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT just study the dumps and 9tut.net, and expect to pass. MOST OF YOU WILL NOT.

YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL!!! Take your time and LEARN IT!!!

Hi, I passed my CCENT exam today with 963 in less than an hour. I’ve been self-preparing for CCENT & CCNA for past 6 months and expecting to appear for CCNA next week The exam was so easy, credits to JC’s CBT Nuggets videos, 9tut and Testking as most of the questions, especially the time consuming & difficult ones are already on 9tut & Testking and were on my exam!! 9tut ROCKS!! The exam was not much difficult as I feared. Just give it confidently once you read the whole syllabus over and over again many times and practice all dumps available on the internet.

    Hi,

I passed my CCENT exam today with above 90% marks. The exam was not much difficult except a few tricky questions and some complete illogical questions.

    I used :
    1) Jeremy CBT Videos .. Hats off to him for his work
    2) books: CCNA Exam Prep by jeremy and CCENT Exam Cram by micheal

And a few hours before exam I gone through the 9tut.net and P4S 2.83 questions. Credit should be given to each as Many questions from both were in the exam ..

One tip that I wanna to the test takers, that do focus well on these topics :

    1) CDP and its commands
    2) Manage Files and Backup Procedures
    3) Configuration register bits and their function
    4) Security threats
    5) Learn switching mechanism thoroughly from diff. books.
    6) WLAN’s

As questions from all these topics were in the exam along with the other main topics.

    Passed the ICND1 exam today.

    SIMS I had:
    https://www.9tut.net/icnd1/labsim/implementation-sim-2 (with different IP’s)
    https://www.9tut.net/icnd1/labsim/implementation-sim (with different IP’s)

Pretty much just run through everything on this site (nice work 9tut!), go through a few p4s’s and generally just know you stuff and you should be all good 🙂

    Hi,
Just passed 640-822 with an 887, passing score was 804.
Pass4sure latest version and Test King latest are 80%-90% accurate.
All Sims were on this site and every Drag N Drop listed here was on the Exam.
There were about 10-15 questions that I have never seen before.
Router/switch Security sim that looks brand new to me.

My advice, know subnetting inside out.

Also used CBT Nuggets 640-822 and CCENT Exam Cram by Valentine/Whitaker.

Thanks for all your help with this site. I had a few of these sims on my exam that i took today The show config, some of the drag and drop, and also Implementation SIM.

I passed my ICND1 with a score of 837. There is some new stuff that has come out on these exams that isn’t on this site. So don’t be completely dependent on this material. It is a great learning material but what it really comes down to is knowing the material.

I studied with Exam Cram CCENT, Cisco Press Libary, Train signal, CBT Nuggets, and Examworx test engine.

well I passed my ICND1 today, 933/1000. I took it a week ago and got 720/1000 and was recommended 9tut.net by another person taking the exam with me. Well, after going through all the sims here, and the latest practice tests on examcerts, the test was no problem. I have to admit that studying dumps is shockingly effective (just about every type of question is covered by them), but they should be studied to learn the question formats and types. Learn the method to solve each question. Then the test will be easy. I should mention that the first time I took the test (720), I read Wendell Odom’s ICND1 book cover to cover, did all of the “Do I know this already?” q’s and some subnet practice. I also highly recommend Cisco’s Packet Tracer (free) which is an incredible learning tool for those who have trouble learning from books.

    TLDR version: Passed 933/1000, Odom’s ICND1 book+9tut+PacketTracer+examcerts

    August 31st, 2010

oh I should also stress, that BOTH times taking the ICND1 exam, I had that stupid security simlet:

    1 Router, 1 switch
What things in the config are in secure? (same question twice, once for router, once for switch) choices are:

    a. the banner/motd is insecure
    b. the username and password are weak
    c. the device allows insecure http access
    d. the device won’t allow telnet [Note – no login is added to the line vty]
    e. only local ips can access

etc, i think if not for that question i would’ve got a perfect score, I chose MOTD since it had the word welcome, and something about encrypted passwords. It had a password line with a 0 which signifies that the pass will be stored as plaintext so I picked that one…

    September 2nd, 2010

Why would people sign up for an exam and then ask for a dump, makes no sense. Study for the exam, like you’re supposed to, and use the dumps as a practice exam/final study guide. Basing everything you do off a dump is a silly idea and ruins the validity of the certification for everyone that worked hard for it.

I don’t have anything against people using these dumps as a means to study, I certainly do it, but I am against people who use it as a sole means to pass the exam and have no actual knowledge of the material. You’re only going to end up getting yourself fired.

Taken an ICDN1 test this afternoon and failed. Got only 737points. I work full time and spent 10-15 hrs a week study for a little over a year. I memorized it quite well every lesson taught by Chris Bryant & Jeremiah C. I failed today because I put too much of my time studying subnetting & ACL’s. I’ve got all 100% on these parts. But they only had a few of these questions. Most I couldn’t answer was to explain OSI model and how the packets travel from each layer to another…stuffs like that…The answer are so similar that I didn’t know which is the correct one. About 25-30 questions, I have to take a guess because of time. I finished my last question with only 2 minutes left. I’m going to go back & try again next week.

I took the ICND1 exam today and I passed with a score of 825. Get the latest P4S practice test after reading and studying the required text, then read through the simulations in the ICND1 section of this website, then you will be good to go. It will interest you to know that some of the questions in the simulation question WILL come out in your exam! I am sure of that. Also, the lastest P4S will have some questions that will come out in your exam! So take them serious!! But please make sure you read hard and practice the commands well with at least a rich Network Simulator on your computer system.

I want to thank the owners of this website for their help. I am so grateful. The next target of course is ICND2.

    September 19th, 2010

It has been said in this forum, and I will be one to say it again, you must understand how this works, rather than just remembering the material presented! This site is very helpful, and the material is dead on the money but there are minor tweaks when you take the actual exam. This goes the same for dumps as well, as you can memorize the data but once you must practice it in the job environment….you will be screwed if you do not understand it! Passed with an 904, finished in one hour and that was taking my sweet sweet time.

Passed my exam today. This site is right on the money with most of the topics. Did get a security sim that I had never seen before. Lots of drop and drags, a couple were not on he this site. Read the questions carefully, it seems they do use a bit of trickery in their wording. If you dont understand subnetting you will not pass the test. I used my time wisely, but they threw me a curve ball by giving a time consuming lab for question 49. Finished with 9 minutes to spare. Also, had a couple of questions on cables(straight thru vs crossover) as well as the pin outs of a cross over cable.

    Questions:
    Labs are from 9tut
drag and drop questions on DHCP, e-mail, router console passwords set up, copy running config…startup config , tftp
some questions on crossover cable, set of given routers, switches, server and which cable is connected to.
what type of attack involves a flooding of SYN packets to open TCP sessions to a server?(Answer: Denial of service)
question on NAT overlaod (mapping multiple ip addresses to a single ip address)
you want to connect to an access point that has sSID broadcasting disabled :(Answer: Manually configure the SSID on your client to match that of the AP).
    Which are private addresses?
Question on port security, no shutdown command

  48. Squidward
    October 7th, 2010

1 Sim lab not from 9tut, 2 drag and drops not from 9tut questions on protocols and databases.
Website is very useful in helping you prepare, but not 100% valid.
My sim had a routerA and SwitchA with some security config questions. Dump files are also useful for preparing. My advice would be understand the material 100%, and practice your subnetting, I saw lots of questions on what does this end device or interface belong to.

And lastly good luck see you on the ICND2.

Passed my ICND1 last week with a 937! used the sims from this site in packet tracer for practice. Make sure you understand CDP, DHCP, subnetting and basic show commands. I got some strange wlan and wifi questions i wasnt expecting but did well overall. I went through the cisco academy at my local community college which helped tremendously and reviewed key concepts.
.. oh and a question on IDS which is strange to land on the icnd1 (since im in a cisco security class atm) anyway – keywords to remember with IDS are: 1.Detect, 2. Malicious(sp?) if you can remember those you should be able to answer that question.

    thanks 9tut!

Hey, I passed the ICND1 test today!! Thanks 9tut!! I had the config sim and the implementation sim plus another one not found here. Also, I had most of the drag and drops. I had a class about 9 months ago, and studied Test King here and there, but hardcore recently. I found Test King helped A LOT, and of course 9tut. Most of the questions were similar, if not exactly like the practice questions. Several of the questions found on this site were on my exam. There was also a variation on the config sim that i had today not found here. It was a combination of the config sim with something similar to Subnetting #4. Ohhhh I had a couple tricky questions on wireless, the differences between Wep and wpa, and encryption types. One question gave me a picture of a cable, and the wires inside connecting to the port, and I had to identify the cable. I guessed rollover, forgot Net+ already!

    October 19th, 2010

I passed the 640-822 with 900 today with 30 minutes to spare, it took me 29 days to study from start to finish! Approximately 3 weeks to read and then 1 week to review.

Thanks to this site and a couple others below THANKS!

I started reading the material September 20, 2010 I read 1 chapter a day (once and a while 2 or 3) from the Official Cisco Press ICDN 1 book, as well as watched 1 or sometimes 2, or even 3 CBT nuggets per day. As I read I highlighted anything I didn’t understand or was new to me as well as everything that had the little “key topic” mark beside it. After completing the reading I went back to the beginning and read all the highlighted items and every single, and then completed every “Do I know this already Quiz” in the beginning of each chapter.

    – Copy the CBT nuggets on you Smart Phone or whichever portable media viewer listen/watch them instead of music/TV, Jeremy lectures are very good, you don’t really need to see whats going on as he explains very well), I used Ultra MPEG-4 Converter to convert them to a generic format for any device

    All resources used:

    1. CCENT/CCNA !CND1 Official Exam Certification Guide, Second Edition (Wendell Odom)
    2. CBT Nuggets (Jeremy Cioara)
    3. Cisco Packet Tracer with Wireshark (http://www.packettracernetwork.com/) a couple labs from here
    4. http://www.examcollection.com (for practise exams)
    5. 9tut.net, certcollection.org, learningnetwork.cisco.com (these sites have feedback from other users for tough questions)
    6. http://certcollection.org/forum/topic/45849-ccna-subnet-in-quick-mode/ (To learn quick subnetting after reading the Cisco Press and listening to the CBT) (Globalnet Cisco Training with Todd Lammle)

    7. I printed the following pages to make my own Quick Reference Material, for when I was practicing questions:
    http://www.mcmcse.com/cisco/guides/router_commands.shtml
    http://www.freetechexams.com/certifications/cisco/ccna/ccna-certification.html
    http://lookforitoverhere.com/65/ios-command-reference/
    http://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=1311
http://www.configureterminal.com/cisco-ccent-ccna/ccent-640-822-icnd1-free/ccent-icnd1-640-822-free-cheatsheets.html (this one is VERY good)

    My Advice:

    – Be able to solve subnet questions in your head, otherwise forget about even going to the exam (I wrote nothing down in the exam, you should practice enough questions that you remember all the numbers they repeat a lot, the quick subnetting doc above helped a lot here)(Globalnet Cisco Training with Todd Lammle)

    – make sure you really understand the OSI layers and every single step a packet takes, in routing and switching from the bit to the point that its presented on the computer screen.

    – forget about memorizing Brain Dumps and practice questions. You have to be able to solve the questions, my technique (where permissable, some questions it just not possible) was to read the question hiding the answer options. Figure out the answer on my own, then look at the options available, and make sure my answer matched one of the available answers if it didn’t figure out why and then look at the final answer. I also found it was important to state exactly why each wrong answer option was wrong, becuase sometimes there were “2” correct answers.

    – The most helpful thing for me was recreating the questions that I could in the Cisco Packet Tracer, this not only helped me practise the question, but also the overall IOS commands on the switches\routers, as you need to know them intimately, knowing which command to use should be like brushing your teeth, you just know you have to pick up you tooth brush, but tooth paste and brush (you don’t have to think about it). This is especially helpful if you don’t have any Cisco equipment, you can really do a lot with the Packet Tracer and also wireshark to look at packets.

    – would say from the material I studied above there was only maybe 4 or 5 questions that were new on the exam I today, everything else was on either on 9tut.net or examcollection.org exams, (obviously with different names and IP’s)

    – last google, wikipedia and Cisco’s site are your friend, if you read a term you don’t understand, google it, there is a lot available on the net, but don’t spend to much time searching, this site and the other resources listed here are more than enough

The most important thing is book your test now so you don’t let life get in front of your studying, and make a schedule of which chapter you are going to read each day. When I had days that I got lazy and I didn’t read I made sure I got back on track the next day. By the time you finish the material you will know if you have to reschedule the the exam (as long as it’s 24 hours before), I rescheduled only once.

    Thanks again on to ICDN2

I just passed my icnd1 exam today. I scored 812, 804 was passing. I think I would have done a little better but the very first question was a 4 parter and I clicked next instead of clicking on the next part of the question. I had that bothering me the entire test.

I used CBT Nuggets (went through it twice) and also the Train Signal videos (only went through that once) I took notes during both sets of videos to try and make it “stick” in my head.

I used the Ariel dump every night only 10 questions at a time so I could see how well I did quickly. Always reason out why you got something wrong. I also practiced my subnetting using subnettingquestions.com.

All in all I studied for about 5 weeks just during the weekdays.

On to the icnd2 and my CCNA!!

    @9tut

The security sim is not like the one you’re showing :http://www.securitytut.com/ccna-security/labsim/port-security-lab-sim.

There was a router connected to a host via console.
There was a switch connected to a host via console.

The switch and router were NOT connected to each other.

There were four questions, all were multiple answers. (Choose two or three correct answers)

The beginning of the questions was geared around: Before this switch and router can be put to use in the network, what security risks can be found…

You used the show run command to look at the password/vty/console/ parts of the config to see what was wrong or maybe missing…

I completely guessed my way through the whole thing, so I can’t be much help…

We don’t have enough information about this sim but hope someone can contribute the details. We create a draft of this sim at https://www.9tut.net/icnd1/icnd1-security-testlet for everyone can comment.

ya i tell you something about new security sim. You must have very clear concepts about telnet, SSH, login, nologin, strong password and weak password (unencrypted) to solve this sim.

You have four multiple choice questions. 2 about the router configuration and other 2 about the switch configuration. Just use #show run command on both to answer.

on a router you have a weak uncrypted password (enable password cisco), this is a security threat.
Telnet is enable and password is set but with #nologin command. that means password is set but their is no use of password (which is security threat). A username ciscouser is made with command #username ciscouser password cisco (this is also a security threat because by using this command the ciscouser gets privileged level 15 automatically by default). you have to identify three security threats in router configuration.

The same thing is with the switch. Only SSH is enable on the switch for remote access. enable password is encrypted but vty passwords are unencrypted. their are 15 vty lines but only 5 simultaneous connections are allowed with login local command and only one user were made. It means that only one user can connect to a switch remotely. Please see Jermy’s ICND 1 CBT Nuggets (Security Video # 1) and video about Management of routers and switches. So you can easily solve that sim.

Can some give more information on SIM # 3 ? I took the exam this on 28 Oct for ICND 1, i failed, i got 800, was very close though. I totally messed up this question with a router and and switch. Both of them had two questions each with security concerns. if some one can update more info on this SIM question that will be highly appreciated.

I also got a new DRAG & DROP question, which was related to RIP, SQL, DATABASE, can’t remember rest of the options, please update if anyone has info on this D&D question.

I was lucky enough to get about 20 question form P4S latest version of ICND 1.
Friends my advice to you all is “just don’t totally depend on dumps, it helps though but not 100 %”.

  70. vinnie
    October 30th, 2010

New security SIM is composed by four multiple choice questions.
2 about the router configuration and other 2 about the switch configuration.
Just use #show run command on both to answer.

you could find wrong login banners like *** WELCOME ***, weak uncrypted password (enable password cisco), nologin commands and other questions about security.

Don’t be afraid, isn’t hard as other said, just study that commands!

Hey all, just passed my ICND I exam with a score of about 900. I just felt i should give back to the community that gave me so much in passing. Thanks 9tut, you rock!!!

My exam was like 40% security questions LOL, and i should have scored higher if not for time spent trying to figure out the test environment and my nervousness. I must confess, Cisco exams are mind tasking; far harder than Comptia’s and Microsoft’s IMHO. I got the security question of the Switch and the Router mentioned above with a PC each to both of them. I spent lots of time on that question. In fact, the first question which i remember vividly and have not seen any where , took me like 5mins LOL. It was about authentication of WAP. I got configuration register questions, router setup mode questions, the DRAG and DROP question that Ali talked about on RIP, SQL, DHCP, DNS., like 30% questions from examcollection Ariel link

My exam was tough LOL, and security galore.

    My advice:

    1. Go throw, all the questions on 9tut. Do not restrict yourself to the ICND 1 section. I mean all section questions, ICND 1, 2, and some questions under the CCNA that relate to ICND. Because some questions under the ICND 2 and CCNA sections were in my exam.

    2. Get the examcollection Ariel questions, and understand the concepts behind the answers. Some of the questions were changed, but if you understand the concept, they you are good.

    3. My believe is that cisco is beginning to increase their pool of questions with some news ones, so pray for luck. Your performance can be based on the type of questions you get. If you are unlucky to get a new question, then you probably spend more time on it and maybe resulting in lesser score. So hope for luck.

I took my ICND1 exam and passed with 897. 🙂 This was my 1st Cisco exam experience and I can say one thing for sure, DO NOT RELY ON PRACTICE DUMPS! I had 10 percent of the questions I had learnt from the ICND1 VCE files on examcollection.com.

You really have to have the knowledge and skills to handle the questions. I would recommend watching the ICND1 CBT Nuggets series. They were excellent in preparation for this exam. I would also recommend studying the sims from this site. At the end of the day if you learn all the requirements you should pass this exam easily.

One thing that wasn’t covered in the CBT Nuggets was the configuration register. I suggest you study this in advance to taking this exam!

For me it was a tough exam, but it was a very satisfying pass! Good luck everyone and big thanks to 9tut.net.

  76. jelly
    October 31st, 2010

    @ Ali
the answer to that question is A & B.

The best way to solve that SIM question is to keep two or more answer options of each questions in memory and check the configuration using show run to see if they are correct. That will save you time going back and forth from the question to the router/switch CLI. Learn from my mistake. I can’t remember all the questions and options, but i would advise that you get CBT nuggets jeremy videos and watch configuring security and SSH on switches & configuration of SDM on routers for telnet and HTTP/HTTPS access, those videos have the answers to that SIM.

The Email, collaboration, Internet Messaging, Web Browser etc DRAG n DROP question is in the CCNA or ICND 2 section of this website. For the other DRAG n DROP that has RIP, DNS,SQL, DHCP etc, just know what the protocol does and the services it provides. For example, i remember one of the option for that question was that ” static routes were configured, but you now want to change it so that their is automatic updates,” then you should know it is RIP because it updates every 30sec. So go to the OSI model and know all the main protocols like FTP, Telnet, DNS, SNMP, DHCP RIP etcs. SQL is not required for any answer in that question. That DRAG n DROP is new, not found any where.

Also make sure you know config registers, how to identify them in sh version commands and what would happen if change them and reboot the router. Google configuration registers, and know basically the 0x2142, 0x2102, and 0x2101. i read good materials of those on the internet and youtube. Also, like PCs, know what makes routers go into setup mode.

Know the difference between Authentication and Data Integrity as it relates to AES, TKIP, SSID, Passwords. Know your subnetting like mad. Then hope for the best because you may be lucky to get easy questions from the pool your second time. New and difficult questions make you spend much time racking your brain, and may result in a low score. I passed because of my background, and could have scored higher if i hadn’t underated it as an entry level cert.

    So Best of luck Ali

I also what to believe that cisco penalizes for mistakes in SIMs or dont give partial credit for correct answers in Multiple Choice with more than one answer. I am not sure about the second, but for the SIMs; if a question says a command has been disabled, you forgot and typed it in, and got “sorry this command is not supported”, i believe you will loose marks. So read your questions well and remember them, and dont make my mistakes. Relax and swallow your spit, as cisco or pearsonVUE dont allow bottled water in exam rooms anymore LOL.

What i also noticed is that most of the answers can be found in the questions if you know networking in itself. You dont need to think much for the single answer, multiple answer multiple choice question. Just look at the question very well. Cisco knows that, that is why they waste your time with SIMs or new/hard question at the beginning and put most of the Multiple choice at the end, so you cant skip questions like in CompTIA certs because you cant go back. So pace yourself, and possibly go through 9tut sections, examcollections Ariel 237 questions/P4S 235 questions, read up your study guides, make google your buddy, and you would be good

I just passed the ICND-1 today. My suggestions are for this exam is to study the material. I used the dumps, but only had marginal amounts of questions from them. Use the 9tut labs and MAKE SURE THAT YOU COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND SUBNETTING. Good luck.

    I do remember:
Which two statements describe the IP address 10.16.3.65/23? (Choose two.)
    A. The subnet address is 10.16.3.0 255.255.254.0.
    B. The lowest host address in the subnet is 10.16.2.1 255.255.254.0.
    C. The last valid host address in the subnet is 10.16.2.254 255.255.254.0.
    D. The broadcast address of the subnet is 10.16.3.255 255.255.254.0.
    E. The network is not subnetted

Took it 4 days ago, passed 2nd time around. This time at a different center, questions were mostly different than 1st time around. Only had 2 sims this time, both are on here (hotspot, sim 1). Had some wireless questions (about 6) I didn’t think I’d get, but studied that topic alot even right before the test.
    Here’s what helped me:
I made a “study sheet” of what I considered tough topics. I then carried this with me when I could and studied it hard. Simple I know, but it worked for me (even used it in my car before I went in to test). Also read ICND1 official cert guide alot (over and over).
Also studied CBT Nuggets and here. 9tut really helped, thank you so much.
Icnd2 in 2 weeks, will report back. Plan to take a similar approach.
Good luck to all of you.
