Share your ICND2 v3.0 Experience

September 16th, 2016 in ICND2 200-105 Go to comments

The new ICND2 200-105 exam has come to replace the old ICND2 200-101 exam. We create the “Share your ICND2 v3.0 Experience” for everyone to share their experience after taking this exam.

Note for ICND2: There are no VRRP, GLBP, NetFlow and NAT questions (and they are not technologies learned in this exam).

Please share with us your experience after taking the ICND2 200-105 exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

    SDN AND PORT SECURITY SAME AS 9TUT

    @Recent canna

    Are you talking about the simulation? Which simulation specifically? I remember port security being on ICND1. So not sure where it would be on ICND2? And I don’t see a SDN lab in 9tut. Are you talking about the questions?

    Hey guys just got back from my test. Passed with an 836. Saw the question with PC X and PC Y. Also got the question about MAX hello and dead timers. 90% of my questions were from the practice test in Joe’s dump. The GRE sim was the same topology as 9tut, some of my questions/answers weren’t the same as they are here though. Also got EIGRP and OSPF sim as was expected. No drag and drop. If you understand the topics and try to actually understand the answers behind the dump questions you will be fine.

    Which command do you enter to enable an interface to support PPPoE on a client?
    A. Dev1(config)# bba-group pppoe bba 1.
    B. Dev1(config-if)# pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1
    C. Dev1(config-if)# pppoe enable group bba1.
    D. Dev1(config-if)# pppoe enable.

    The answer for this is B and not D. I just tried this in an actual router. pppoe enable is not a legitimate command.

    Which statement about QoS default behavior is true?
    A. Ports are untrusted by default.
    B. VoIP traffic is passed without being tagged.
    C. Video traffic is passed with a well-known DSCP value of 46.
    D. Packets are classified internally with an environment.
    E. Packets that arrive with a tag are untagged at the edge of an administrative domain.

    The answer for this is also A. Cisco instructor told me.

    Congratz dude, did you have any syslog, port security, frame relay or netflow or even port errors, like CRC and stuff?

    What about those “slow vlan” questions, did you have them? If so, what did you answer?

  11. shady
    March 17th, 2017

    @Answers

    According to Cisco website the correct answer is D.

    “pppoe enable -> enables pppoe on the gigabit interface”

    Source: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/bbdsl/configuration/xe-3s/bba-pppoe-client.html#GUID-B1DB9A75-76E3-4553-B3C3-A73046F5A505

    I’m 100% sure it’s B. I configured it and couldn’t find any enable command that went along with pppoe.

  13. shady
    March 17th, 2017

    @Answers

    But.. when you’re configuring PPPoE you have to type pppoe enable, if you don’t, you won’t be able to set up a PPPoE session.

    @Answer,
    I believe @shady is right, pppoe enable (Enables a PPPoE session on the interface), not in the client, i tell you more, if you dont want to write pppoe enable on the interface is fine,, when you configure the pppoe-client dial-pool-number (Enable pppoe client) the IOS add pppoe enable to the interface automatically…

    March 20th, 2017

    Sorry for my incomplete answer before.

    @Maz
    You have right. Correct answer is d)Dynamic Auto

    http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=2181837&seqNum=8
    switchport mode dynamic auto:
    Makes the interface able to convert the link to a trunk link. The interface becomes a trunk interface if the neighboring interface is set to trunk or desirable mode. The default switchport mode for newer Cisco switch Ethernet interfaces is dynamic auto. Note that if two Cisco switches are left to the common default setting of auto, a trunk will never form.

    switchport mode dynamic desirable:
    Makes the interface actively attempt to convert the link to a trunk link. The interface becomes a trunk interface if the neighboring interface is set to trunk, desirable, or auto mode. This is the default switchport mode on older switches, such as the Catalyst 2950 and 3550 Series switches.

    @shady read through each option, which option seems plausible, and why? Work through each one in your head – you need to understand how a local segment works and behaves, if you do there is only one plausible answer (Hint, what purpose does the router server in this example?).

  45. Peter

    Which two options are valid WAN connectivity methods? (Choose two.)
    A. PPP
    B. WAP
    C. DSL
    D. L2TPv3
    E. Ethernet

  56. Xenit
    March 21st, 2017

    @Matrix i would choose A & C Becuase PPP provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links. PPP was originally emerged as an encapsulation protocol for transporting IP traffic between two peers. It is a data link layer protocol used for WAN connections.
    DSL is also considered a WAN connection, as it can be used to connect networks, typically when used with VPN technology

    Guys,

    Two things to report.

    1) Nebs dumps are spot on. Every question that came up on my exam ( except the SIMS ) was on his VCE file. So I would encourage everyone to use this as prep for the exam.
    2) I purchased a $99.99 file from Passleader.com. Do not, I repeat DO NOT purchase this overpriced piece of garbage. I purchased this product thinking due to its price tag it would be a reputable product with a high level of detail included. I was completely wrong, the 400+ questions they provide to you in the product contains ALL of the old V2 stuff, despite being sold as a V3 product. That aside, the company actually offer a 30 day money back guarantee whereby, if you purchase the file and fail within a 30 day period they will give you your money back. Well, boys and girls.. that’s a lie. I failed within the 30 day period and produced the evidence they say they needed and they point blank refused to refund me the money and did not give me a reason why. My email chain with them ended with them saying “ case closed “. Terrible company and I would encourage all of you to STAY AWAY FROM PASSLEADER.COM !!!!

    On a more positive note, I passed with a mark of 871 using Nebs VCE file which was free and completely spot on.

    I would advise against using Packer Tracer 7, it’s very buggy and prone to crashing right now, go with 6.3, it’s perfectly fine for CCNA apart from the PPPOE and ppp multi-link sections. Practice hard and learn, it’s the best way!

    2. VCE file from 9tut (I think its from a user called Neb, thank you neb!)
    3. Also i referred to some of the answers given by a user called MC in this site.

    I got all the 3 simulations: GRE tunneling, OSPF & EIGRP. Like the other users mentioned, simulation questions does not require you to configure but to find out why adjacencies are not form between neighbours etc.

    I didn’t get any NAT questions, didn’t get any IPv6 questions.

    A few questions were regarding DTP. Disadvantages of proxy ARP. Cause of slow interVLAN forwarding.

    Hey Guys, I took the test today & smashed it. I’m so happy. Thanks to joe, neb and everyone on this forum for helping. Everything was from here but there were alot of new questions. It seems they are catching up with the new stuff.Sims were the same but with different problems but if you know what you’re doing, you’ll be fine, just show commands. Once again thanks everyone & good luck to those who are taking the exam soon. Peace
