For those of you who have had to take the test a second time to succeed, did you see alot of the same questions? I’m curious if SIMS are same, because I felt like they were the SIMS in the dump.

THE 274Qs have quite a bit in OSPF, I thought that only RIP is tested on ICND1. Can someone clarify this for me?

Pretty sure answer is D. I’ve asked around and this is what I was told by a few networks people who’ve done the course before.

Finally passed! Nearly similar questions if you take it a second time around. All objective areas I improved on significantly. Not gonna post any make sure you know this or that, because if you read through whats in here you should be solid. This forum should be locked from here on out for posts because everything you need is already here. Just look instead of asking people to email you stuff snowflakes!… End rant, and good luck!

Just failed , 825/1000 ( 832 Pass) .Gutted ! . Most of the questions came from 274q, please refer only to the questions., for answers please do your research.

All – Whoever passed can you confirm how many lab questions you had ?

I did really well and was so confident i was gonna pass and then the bloody Lab did me ..failed with 7 points. The question was regarding service password encryption and vty and ssh logins etc… i remember someone mentioning that 30-40% comes from lab .. that seems so true

1) Make sure you are 100% confident that the answers in 274q are correct, i mean do your research even if you are slight doubtful with your answers.
2) I am 100% sure i failed in the lab, yes lab carries a substantial pass portion percentage, so if you did all theory questions right and failed the lab then you FAIL. So make sure you know the concepts.

Failure is a horrible feeling .. you dont want to go there..

This is a Class C ip so the Natural mask is 255.255.255.0 or /24
But here the mas is /26

Meaning , 2 bits have been borrowed from the 4th Octet making it 255.255.255.192 ( 128+64)
So now your increment is 64 so the ip addresses goes like this

192.168.4.0
192.168.4.64
192.168.4.128

Obviously 192.168.4.64 is the second network .. where in your admin is working on 182.168.4.0

As you know the 1st ip is the network ID and the last is broadcast ..

We cannot choose 2 ip-address in that list . there is only 1 and that is 192.168.4.61

@Ram u can go to subnet 1 instead of 0 as far as there r two valid host addresses in the same subnet. Question is correct.

i believe the Answer is C and D as they both on the same subnet which is 192.168.4.64
Since 64 is our increment the range is as follows….

we do not use the zero network(194.168.4.0) even if it was used there is only one IP address (192.168.4.61)that falls on the Zero network/subnet of the six possible answers.
With all that i maintain that C.192.168.4.67 and D.192.168.4.125 are on the same subnet/network which ranges from 192.168.4.64—–192.168.4.127.

I stand to be corrected we are all learning after all.

almost all the questions are here on 9tut. some new ones and some had their wordings changed.
Q- what is unique address in ipv6 in binary?
Q- how many primary Ip address can an interface have?
Q- what is the smallest administrative distance (static not in option list)??
Q- what should be configured for voip phone to work (something like that)?
Q- A question about default stratum, autonomous systerm (can not remember)?

Can someone please please confirm

2) How many total SIM questions you faced ?

Question about NTP and stratum level – one of the answers was 5 or something

Hi, I wrote my exam and passed it. There were a lot of questions from 274q. Few questions about NTP were new. On the other hand lab question was very difficult. In the lab topology there were three routers, two servers…. and questions were about DHCP, NAT, ACL… All devices were preconfigured and we just need to use various SHOW commands to find our answers. This question will take the most amount of ur time…probably 25 minutes so don’t freak out.
There was another question regarding to banner MOTD, line con password, line vty password, whether these passwords r used for login or no… its a kind of checking the security of both switch and router. You should also need to know about different commands like to check any given information which command u will use. I got a question about NTP statistics but i was confused about which command was correct.

Long story short…….Its not an easy exam….Prepare well!!

Guys, I went through all 274q to check if i remembered which questions were on the exam. Well my memory is not that great but I believe following dumps were there:
question number as appear on 274q…3,4,8,9,14,15,16,22,43,47,49,68,72,95,117,120,151,171, 172,185,234,240,243, 249,250,254,257,259,261,262,263,264,265,269,272,273,274
A lot of above-mentioned questions were there; however, please do NOTE here that answers choices were not all same as dumps. Also do your homework and double check ur answer from some other source as well. There were two questions about subnetting which i couldn’t remember.

I failed today (778), I relied mainly on the official Cisco Cert Guide 100-105. Two days before the exam, I had reviewed the questions in 9tut, and that was my big mistake, I though only hard study will be enough, spent a month!! LabSim: DHCP /NAT / NTP /ACL & Security, topology same but the config was completely different with different answers. The trickiest one was Security (two LabSim).

My advice:
• Study hard to have something in your mind (One week labs is a must, just labs, forget anything else)
• Keep the last week for exam, set your mental-exam on. Means leave your book, and study materials, just concentrate on exam questions, and LabSims. 9tut is more than enough.

*LabSim: DHCP /NAT / NTP /ACL & Security, topology same but the config was completely different with different answers* That sucks, man. 16 pages of this thread is a lot to go through but somewhere deep in it is says exactly that, top same but config is different. I haven’t firmed up my test date yet but I’d like to before the end of the month.

If the exam was 105 min or 120 min .. i am pretty sure 90% of the people would pass… its not that you dont know the SIM answers.. its the time we take ( as we all are new to Cisco ) matters..

Bloody SIMS hunts you with time, and are very very tricky .. you need to read them questions few times and navigate through the million windows it opens…. its just stressful ..

The command is:
R1# copy running-config startup-config

Which copies the current running-config file to NVRAM as the new startup config. Once you reload the router:
R1# reload

The router will use the new startup-config when it boots up.

can any one share new questions from lead2pass ( ques. from 274 to 295)..

@Naz: Only 2 labs and only sh run commands needed to find the answers. Know NAT translation commands, IPv4 subnetting (I didn’t have any VLSM but it’s probably out there), IPv6 basics (how many bits, that DHCPv6/ICMPv6 exist, etc.) make sure to check every field in every exhibit and match to the answer (I got one wrong when they switched the router hostnames and had all other info the same), when to use prefix vs. net mask vs wildcard mask. Can’t remember any specific questions. I’ll come back if I do.
