ICND1 Composite Quizzes

February 19th, 2019 in Premium Zone Go to comments

We have 15 Composite Quizzes for the ICND1 exam. Each Composite quiz comprises of 50 questions of all topics of the ICND1 100-105 exam. If you can pass all of them then congratulations, you have full knowledge for the ICND1 exam. But please grasp the concept of the sims in the ICND1 exam as well before taking the exam.

Note: The questions of these Composite Quizzes are taken randomly from the pool of specific topic quizzes so some questions are repeated among the Composite Quizzes. This is good because you can practice one question a few times. But we highly recommend you to practice all the specific quizzes (at the right-side menu under “ICND1 100-105” category) carefully before taking these Composite Quizzes. The Composite Quizzes only helps you have a feeling of the real exam with 50 randomly chosen questions from the specific topic quizzes.

I passed my ICND-1 Exam a few days ago with 960/1000! This website is very helpful! Thank you 9tut!

    For one of the questions, it states;

Refer to the exhibit. Host A is sending a packet to Host B for the first time. What destination MAC address will Host A use in the ARP request?

Then Answer is FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF but I don’t understand why, shouldn’t it be the Router 1’s MAC address because it Host A sends the ARP request to the Router and that interface that is facing Host A MAC address is 00-17-94-61-18-b0. why isn’t Router1’s MAC address the correct answer?

    Thanks in advance!

As Host A knows the IP address of Host B it sends out an ARP request with that IP address and Host B wil reply with its MAC address.

Just took my ICND-1 (Passed :)) and all I can say is THANK YOU “9tut”!! This site is an awesome supplement to the Cisco classes I took. I was not ready to take it right after the classes (they went very fast), I needed more time to digest the materials, this site helped me greatly with the explanations on some of the subnetting questions. The Sims are great as well. I cannot say enough worth every bit of the cost to be a Premium Member! Now onto the ICND-2!

So far 9tut is reassuring everything I’ve learned (between self study, cbt nuggets, and a CCNP course). This has been the best $9 I’ve ever spent. I test on Monday, I’ll let you guys know how I do.

Thanks 9tut! This premium site is priceless.

On the Composite Quizzes there is an OSPF question with Image about which router would be selected as the DR and BDR.

I consistently select Branch 1/2 because they have the highest active router IDs.

But I’m marked wrong because of “Corp 4”. Is this question marked incorrectly? If not could someone explain to me why Corp 4 is selected despite being a lower router ID and not obviously a Loopback?

  10. Jessica
    August 27th, 2015

I found my answer on the OSPF Hotspot- sorry! here are 2 segments on the topology above which are separated by Corp-3 router. Each segment will have a DR so we have 2 DRs.

To select which router will become DR they will compare their router-IDs. The router with highest (best) router-ID will become DR. The router-ID is chosen in the order below:

+ The highest IP address assigned to a loopback (logical) interface.

+ If a loopback interface is not defined, the highest IP address of all active router’s physical interfaces will be chosen.

In this question, the IP addresses of loopback interfaces are not mentioned so we will consider IP addresses of all active router’s physical interfaces. Router Corp-4 (10.1.40.40) & Branch-2 (10.2.20.20) have highest “active” IP addresses so they will become DRs.

Took the ICND1(CCNT) today and passed with 986/1000. Big thanks to 9tut.net can’t say enough about what a savior this site is. I payed the premium membership for $9.00. I took 2 Cisco classes, read Tod Lammle and William Tedder, watched the Chris Bryant ICND1 Boot camp videos, and answered all 9tut question numerous times. You can get away with a passing score using just this site for sure.

    September 11th, 2015

Passed with 973. Make sure and have the networking knowledge behind the actual questions because 2 or 3 may be the same with different values for example the Bandwidth value on the Show sims. Other than that, study the simulations as they will 100% come up and are piss easy (only need one command per sim). The membership is definitely worth getting. Thank you 9tut.

Passed exam yesterday first time. Thank you 9tut and all the members who’ve provided great info throughout the quizzes/sims. I had like 4 sims on my exam which ate up a lot of time so definitely practice the sims here ad infinitum.

  15. Aardvark
    October 8th, 2015

Passed with 986 today. I think all questions were here, but care, one or two were changed, with different bandwidth, etc, so you probably wouldn’t pass unless you understand the underlying principles.

With regard to OSPF, it’s worth knowing that neighbor adjacencies won’t form if
    a) The hello, hold and dead timers aren’t the same
    b) The INTERFACES are not in the same area
    c) The OSPF Router IDs are the same.

The sh ip ospf interface command will tell you everything you need to know.

  16. Aardvark
    October 8th, 2015

Should mention also that there was no IPv6, 1X OSI, no ACL, no DHCP, and loads of subnetting.

Thanks again to 9tut: Membership was the best investment I ever made!

Passed the ICND1 yesterday with a 951. If you can do these quizzes and score 90 to 100% you are golden. The questions on the exam were exactly the same as the quiz questions here. You as most of us found out that the SIMs were a little harder. The Sims were formatted the same but had far more information when you entered the show commands. For the Security sim make sure you know the differences between what login local, enable secret and no password encryption. STUDY the security sim the most. The output on the exam is far different than the output of the show commands here on 9tut.
If you can ace the quizzes here that will help you make up for any mistakes in the security sim. The Config sim was also formatted the same but far more info again. know your Show ip interface brief command and show interface (serial or fastethernet0/?) command and you will breeze this one. I did not get the OSPF sim.

    Good luck

Austin, I had to download a certain software to view the quizzes, but i’m sorry I can’t remember. I know the screen gives you a comment telling you that you can’t view it, copy that and put it into google and it will give you the types of software needed to view the quizzes. I am thinking its just a certain type of Adobe but as I said I can’t remember. Also, I had to restart my computer after downloading it for the website to acknowledge I had it on my computer. I hope this helps! good luck

do they allow you to only use a Majic marker and a dry-erase page ?
Also, do they allow you to write out your subnet chart ahead of time to look at while subnetting? They use to but I have not taken the tests since 2010 i took composite CCNA.

I passed the ICND2 exam yesterday. I appreciate the pre-study material 9tut. I would be well versed on Frame Relay and the “sho frame-relay map” command. You will need it for the lab to determine which DLCI is correct. There was a couple matching/drag and drop questions but they are totally manageable. This site is a excellent preparation tool for the ICND2. OSPF was also present as a lab as well.

Hi 9tut im afraid you answer is not correct here: please check:
Question 20 on the ICND1 -com quiz 2:
Question was – what is the network add for the host 192.168.23.61/28?
I choose – 192.168.23.60 and it says wrong.

And it expalin below. But i think the correct aswer is 192.168.23.60

    Incorrect
From the /28 we can find all information we need:

    Increment: 16 (/28 = 11111111.11111111.11111111.11110000)
    Network address: 192.168.23.48 (because 48 = 16 * 3 and 48 < 61)

    Im I correct guys?

  66. Vic
    August 18th, 2016

Guys i found one more question on the same quiz that im not happy with. Please let me know, maybe im too tired, and i need to go sleep. kkk
Question Admin is working with this network 192.168.4.0 that was subnetted to /26. which two ip addresses can be assigned to hosts in the same network? 9tut answer is 192.168.4.67 and 192.168.4.153. I dont think his two ip addresses below the that network with that mask. Please advise?

Passed 100-101 exam today. Scored 935/1000. Thanks 9tut! Plenty of subnetting questions, saw a few questions that I had not seen before. No OSPF sim on my exam. Did have the other two sims. No ACL’s, no IPV6, Thanks to the sims and questions here it all looked familiar. Like other people have mentioned. Do not just study questions and think that is enough!!!! You need to understand how the routers and switches really work. I took all of the CCNA courses years ago at our community college. Just needed to get a refresh of what I learned previously. If you do not use it you will lose it. Went on Udemy and watched a CCNA video boot camp with Chris Brown, then did the practice tests and sims here. I think the information here is fantastic! Definately worth the $9 investment.

  79. BC
    January 24th, 2017

I took the 100-105 exam last week and failed. I had dumps pdf’s from a different site, which comparing those to what is available here on 9tut, they were wrong. I also encountered many questions on the exam that I had not seen previously. The area that ended up getting me was Infrastructure Services. I am studying those chapters in my certification guide by William Odem, along with the multiple resources available here. I wish that I had known about 9tut before my exam. I had 54 questions total – 2 full sims, but no configuration needed. The sims were the security one and I think the show. No IPv6 questions, a few subnetting questions, and then questions regarding NAT, DHCP protocols along with a few questions that are already featured here. So, I am practicing each quiz, each sim, studying infrastructure services and will hopefully test again in 2-3 weeks.

@Harry, I took the exam and failed. I needed 83% to pass and got 82.5%.

I can confirm most of the questions on the exam are on this website. However, there are A LOT of questions that are not.

Took the test today (6/27/17). Failed, about half the questions on 9tut were on the exam. several ipv6 questions, a few router on a stick questions. sims were similar, if you know how to work the sims on here you wont have a problem on the test.

Took a second look through the site, most the questions from the test are on here, just be sure to look through the new questions bank

Looking at the composite question quiz I noticed that they are showing 100-101, are these updated with the new v3 questions?

Please add the new questions to the composite test and to the individual quizzes. I’m up usually all night studying so I noticed the new questions immediately and I study better when I can test myself.

I failed by less than 10 a couple months ago. I didn’t know about 9tut at the time, but looking at the comments it seems like since the update folks haven’t been doing so hot. The exam wasn’t hard, but about 25% of the questions are worded in a confusing way. I wasted a lot of time on the sims because I didn’t know that if you miss one question in the sim then you don’t get partial credit for the correct answers. All the show commands worked, even show run. I didn’t have to do any configurations. And the notes I made on the provided scratch paper didn’t get looked at once. I had like 5 IPv6 questions, 4 cdp questions, a few OSI/TCP model questions, and several port security questions. No way I fail this exam twice. Good luck people.

I will be testing for ICND1 next Friday, been watching the lessons on safari books and taking semesters 1 and 2 on netcad, my question is are these quizzes and sims identical to what I’ll see on the test?
