    hello jmdevera congratulations

what Questions and sim have u got in the exam?

  5. HeavyModLover
    April 26th, 2013

    Passed today with 984! :)

I had the VTP Sim and the aforementioned Frame Relay Sim which has an IP address error in it.

I also had the OSPF questions at the start of the document.. http://dc386.4shared.com/doc/yPoKQf8r/preview.html

There were 2/3 questions that I hadn’t come across before but most of them are on 9tut/HeavyMod dump, albeit with different IPs and jumbled answers.

Hey guys. Those that have taken the ICND1 exam, how often did you actually have to enter into the CLI and do some configuration during the ICND1 exam?

    Thanks!

    April 29th, 2013

Just took a test, and go no sims. Just one partial simlet that you didnt even need to run commands for. I’ve never seen a cisco test with no Sims before.

Took ICND2 on Friday – 26/4/2013, Had quite a few new questions and 1 new frame relay simulation as well, Passed with 958/1000 :) can’t it stress enough, you need to know the material and have a firm understanding of what they require you to do. On to CCNA Voice :)

@Caleb can you elaborate more on the new Frame Relay sim?

  14. Caleb
    May 2nd, 2013

Anon, the new frame relay simulation, they give you a diagram of about 4 sites in a hub and spoke setup, then you have to configure the 1 point to point sub interface link, that’s what I got

  15. anon
    May 2nd, 2013

@Caleb, thanks for the info, that actually sounds pretty easy. Congrats on the cert btw!

  16. Anonymous
    May 2nd, 2013

@Caleb, To figure it out did you just do a Show Run Interface on the serial and then see which sub-interface was listed with point-to-point after?

FINALLY! Passed and CCNA Certified once again. Thanks 9tut for the review; your site helped me focus so that I passed the test the 2nd time around. I will NEVER let my CCNA expire EVER again! On to the CCNP :-D

  21. gigabyte
    May 6th, 2013

ICND 2 passed, got full CCNA, 9xx/1000, really happy with the score. VTP, frame relay sim was there with different IP’s.

VTP from memory was 192.168.xxx.63 <- the one you needed to configure ( it was first available on the management subnet, x.x.x.61 was default g/w . x.x.x.62 was the first building of the sim. the domain name was branch. Make sure to type in 'enable', i killed 10 minutes trying to figure out how to enter commands, everything else went like butter through knife from there on. IF you are unsure type in ? to list all available commands, which is what I did. ) Know your frame relay map commands. Also one of the commands was disabled in frame relay sim so I used ''show ip int sx/x'' or whatever the question asks you to look at. Know your IPv6 well ! Few drag and drops but nothing that this site didn't have! So have a look at those carefully ! I didn't do that well in WAN links but that was always the case, maybe have a revise over those if you have the time.

Thank you 9tut for your help greatly ( I studied for ICND2 for 1.5weeks , 9-14 hours a day. Theory is easy to remember, but the concepts for SIMs is something you have to understand) I hope this helps somewhat with future CCNA/ICND2 test-goers. Good luck everyone !

  22. Caleb
    May 6th, 2013

@Anonymous, that’s exactly what I did yes, just pointed it to the correct interface and that was it :) just make sure you check the actual DLCI, cisco might change it.

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive your actual paper CCNA certificate once you pass the exam?

  24. Anonymous
    May 6th, 2013

@Caleb what was the exact command? was it simply “show interface s0/0/0″, find out which one was using point-to-point, then get the dlci from that?

  25. anonymous
    May 6th, 2013

I passed ICND2 on 5/1 I had VTP sim and frame relay study 9tut and heavy mod 100 % on test and know OSPF.

@gigabyte Was “show frame-relay map” disabled? Also, what information were you looking for with the “show ip int sx/x”?

  27. Thank you
    May 6th, 2013

Passed today with a 9xx. I want to say thank you to everyone that works so hard to bring us 9tut.com. And to you all for posting problems and explanations to questions on the website. I used VCE and 9tut and of coarse the Cisco CCNA Manual. Thanks again everyone.

Taking test in 1 week, hitting the sims.
    Question,
Can you use the “do” command from global config on the exam ?

  30. gigabyte
    May 7th, 2013

@Anonymous, “show frame-relay map” was working , it was the other command that wasn’t. From memory “show run” wasn’t working or I might’ve typed something wrong in, I was looking for default encapsulation for frame relay. Best of luck ! It explains it in the answer on 9tut pretty well.

    Hello Everyone,

I’ve a small doubt that I want to clarify. Initially I had planned to give composite exam and was studying Todd lammle for my preparation. I had completed it half and all of sudden I changed my plan and thought of step by step exam (ICND1 and ICND2). I studied a bit of ICND1 Official Cert Guide, bit of dumps and cleared ICND1. Is it ok if I study Todd lammle for ICND2. Is that book recommended. or I must do the CCNA ICND2 640-816 Official Cert Guide Third Edition by Wendell Odom. I will really appreciate if anyone can suggest me on this.

    Thanks,
    -Sagar

Took the ICND-2 test yesterday and passed the test with 8xx marks. I have taken CCNA before as well and it appeared that this test had a high difficulty level. The pass mark was also set to 825. Regarding questions, i got the VTP question from ICND-2/Lab-Sim section on this site, Frame-Relay question (multiple international destinations) from the CCNA/Hot-Spot section. Surprisingly, i got a few questions about RIP-v2 as well. In addition, one question was to select couple of commands that would display the chassis number of a router. Few questions from IPv6 regarding identifying IP addresses (like link-local etc), most drag-drops were from ACL/NAT, remember your show ospf commands. In lab simulations, TAB worked and you can type ‘?’ to find list of commands. After you are done with simulations, always do copy run start. Remember your NAT syntax for adding static and dynamic mappings. Lot of questions from ACL (especially extended lists).

Willian Nel how did exams go?

  74. Konda
    May 22nd, 2013

Today passed with 930. I had Frame-Relay and VTP Configuration sim.
I had a problem with VTP. A Console PC on left switch did not accept “enable” command and I could not finish that question. A administrator call Cisco support and they did not fix that issue. I leave a comment and skip that question. Because of that they reduce me 70 points.
Most of questions on exam is here on 9tut. There is a few new questions.

    Hello everyone,

Just gave my ICND2 and passed the exam. Got 874.
Most of the questions were from 9tut.net and dumps from Heavy Mod.

    http://www.examcollection.com/cisco/Cisco.Lead2Pass.640-816.v2013-03-25.by.HeavyMod.271q.vce.file.html

The VTP question sim was there but when you sho run on the building_1 you won’t see the vlan1 configured and the ip address. I missed that question or else I would have got 900+
Got the frame relay sim which is in the dumps. The exam has 75 questions and 45 questions so aware of time

    Thank you 9tut.net

This site rocks. I got a 958. The VTP and frame relay sim were on the test. Be careful on the VTP sim since you are required to use the first available address in the range. The problem is that the first available address is actually the default gateway

  91. Nate Johnson
    May 24th, 2013

THANK YOU 9TUT! Passed my ICND2 today with a 972! I’m an official CCNA! Maybe it was luck, but I only had the VTP Sim. My guess is that if you take the big 640-802, you’ll get more Sims. I mostly had testlets about PPP, Frame-Relay, something about verifying OSPF. Two drag and drops, and mostly Multiple Choice.

    My suggestions:
KNOW EIGRP, not just sorta know it….KNOW IT.
Know how to configure switches for vtp and remote access.
Spend more time on VPNs and Wireless than you think (had a couple in there we never talked about in my college class!)
Know how to configure NATs and ACLs in your sleep.
    Subnetting, subnetting, and subnetting.

  92. Shaun
    May 24th, 2013

@ Haji VTP & frame relay

  93. Nate Johnson
    May 24th, 2013

One more thing, I passed ICND1 and 2 with CCNA classes (Todd Lammle book), Packet Tracer, CBT Nuggets, and 9tut. Though having a lab would be awesome, it’s really not necessary at CCNA level. I would STRONGLY urge GNS and an actual lab for CCNP though.

  94. just passed
    May 25th, 2013

@mkjayb. VTP was on mine today. Had a frame relay/PPP one as well. Lots of ospf and ipv6 questions. Had 1 or 2 VPN questions.
