Passed CCENT today, there was a mix of old and new questions. Also the sims are slightly different so you do have to know what you’re doing.

Hi, just to updste u, i did icnd1 exam today and failed with a score of 799. The updated version 3 with majority of the 18 questions where there. I got dhcp simulator which has been changed. Thats the point i failed the most. Others where 70 and 80%. Does anyone have the most recent dumps on the dhcp simulator or can remember the questions on it… This is my 2nd attempt. Any help will be appreciated.

Just passed icnd1 today. The questions on the exam are slightly different than the ones here, so you need to know why the answers are what they are. I’m not sure memorizing will get you through. The exam sims have different IP’s and addressing schemes too.
@sharminnie Sorry for the delay, if you use just 9tut questions I’d say it is a 50/50 chance of passing. I highly suggest other study material as well. I spent 3 weeks watching CCENT videos on Safaribooksonline then a day and half here studying.

Hello, I finally passed the ICND1 with the score of 951/1000. The 2nd attempt was definitely harder than the 1st attempt in my opinion.
95% of the 1st attempt questions can be found on 9tut, my 2nd attempt was about 70%…still this site is awesome! 9tut saved me!
For those who are asking about Jodie’s dump…don’t worry about it, just know the material well enough and use the 9tut questions and you will be just fine. The hands on questions were almost identical, however the answers are slightly different.

The questions were exactly the same, but the answers are different… because the running-config of the topology are slightly different. Don’t worry about it tho, it’s still easy. They made it even more obvious in my opinion. When in doubt, use cross elimination method.

How can you establish a telnet session this way? If you have the IP address, what is the need for the host name? It would make sense if only the hostname was provided and then by using nslookup you will resolve the IP address associated….
Pete, I had that question on my test. I dont remember exactly how it is worded on the test but what is post here is close but not correct. The DNS lookup is the right answer though.

I wish I found this site last week, I took my test yesterday and got a 799, so close!!!! Yet so far!! I will say that these questions are exactly what was on my test. I only got 2 wrong that I see and can remember. There was one question about a cisco switch and cisco ip phone about tagging but I can not remember the whole wording. Also there was a question about switch port security and learning the max number of Mac address. Sorry I can’t remember the questions. 15th is the new date, hopefully with browsing this site and some others I can get the little edge I need.

Yes.
1. R2 configured as DHCP, R3 cannot received an IP. Test takers need to read the configuration by running the “show run” command on both routers. In my case, it was the mis-configuration of router R2.
2. R1 connected to ISP and configured NTP server 206……R2 cannot sync with R1. In my case, R2 NTP was not configured.
3. A host in R2 cannot access to Server1 in R1. Carefully review the output of R1 and R2. In my case, R1 has a deny access list that blocks R2 network.
4. Users complaints that they cannot access to the internet. My answer was “NAT was configured incorrectly on interfaces”

Just passed with a mid 900. I used CBTnuggets (free 7 day trial), Safari books online, 9tut and bought 3 routers and 3 switches for <$150 to practice labs on. I would say 80% of my questions were from 9tut (mostly the ones above and 5 or 6 from the bank of questions). I had 2 sims and they were the same as "Just passed ICND1 today 930 points" above. But they were easy as long as you know how to configure DHCP, NTP, ACL, and NAT. Spend some time with a lab kit or virtual lab and practice that stuff because you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you can't actually configure that stuff when you get a networking job!

50% was from above and 50% from the question banks…..Sims where exactly like “Just passed ICND1 today 930 points” stated above. No new questions…. just a lot of rewording in the answers.
Passed few days ago, got 930.
Do the flash based questions few times, write down what you miss and study on that, go through the new ICND1 v3 questions 1 time and study them, and walk it through again just before the test, and you are good to go.
Most of the questions are on here, i had like 55 questions, maybe 2-3 i did not recognize, they may not all be exactly the same as here, but alot of them are, just that some questions are asked in a different way.
I had both dhcp and security sim, and it was exactly the same.
Anyone with recent dumps should please assist.
