@eddy no its not A the question says with default settings so by default the router resolves for ip address and the qestion asks what happens not what should be done to avoid lookups
I passed my exam yesterday with score 864. almost 60-70% questions were from here. DHCP and sh run labs were similar with little bit of config change but same questions.
The new questions are really helpful.

Passed my exam the other day. Majority of the 9Tut question were on there. The DHCP and Security SIMS were on mine with same questions but different configs/answers. I had 3 drag-and-drop questions related to cabling.

Answer has to be B and D. both of process put in cache at least the Layer 2 address. Fast Switching in cache memory, and ECF in the database table Adjency thar are database in cache. Network addresses and mask are as well cached.

So I passed ICND1 a week back with a score close to 900 (Don’t want to mention my actual score). My heart was racing like a hound on a rabbit chase, Lord knows! I can say close to 70% of questions came from here and I was lucky enough to get the DHCP and Security sims exactly with the same configuration and questions but reading the previous comments I had not memorized the answers word to word..hahaha! So here is what I had to say, know your basics so you know what you are doing. Wordings on questions here are not the exact as on the exam. As far as questions are concerned, there was a question on Private network Ipv4 and the options were 172.16.0.0/11 ;

192.168.0.0/24
another question was something to do with System domain router hostnames. I had more than a few questions about DNS servers. I had a few questions from this list of new v3 questions as well. Sorry guys that is all I remember. Cannot insist enough on knowing your basics. Good luck!
There is a question that asks you which type of IEEE cables are fiber and which are optic, basically what I discovered was that is it ends with an “X” it is a fiber. Also a question on access-list, what inbound or outbound does it filter and update. Not sure exactly what the question and answer was.

got mine. had dhcp simulator and security testlit. there were changes in questions given, be very familiar with the configuration and troubleshooting on both. 60% of questions from here. Be familiar with cables, ipv6, subnetting, tcp, udp and the basics and you will be fine. good luck.

Just took my CCENT exam today. Scored an 890. Got the DHCP and Security sim which was dam near exactly the same as 9tut. Answer choices were exactly the same though 1 or 2 answers were different.
I did get 2 SLAAC questions, those broadsided me. Which I obviously guessed on lol. Easy drag an drop cable question from v3 questions. I got a question regarding the native vlan but was worded way different with different answers. If you understand the concept your good. 30-40% of questions were from 9tut. Good luck everyone

802.1q is not cisco proprietary, it is an open standard.

Passed ICND1 on the 13th with a 941. Had alot of questions, probably 70% that were from the site in some shape or form. Simulations were the same for the most part some config changes but overall concepts were the same.
Passed ICND1 today with 912 Points 🙂 thx 9tut !!!!
Took the 100-105 today. Got the show config sim and dhcp simulator, concept was same but answers a little different for certain questions. Some questions were from the new question section (ICNDv3) also some from the old 100-101 section however, got alot of questions that were not on here !!! Just brushed by with an 853!
Passed ccent yesterday with a 839……about 60% of 9tut questions were on my exam. I had 1 drag and drop and at least 2 CLI sims. I skipped the CLI config but I know I aced the questions that came with the sims to gain some points. Lots of new questions on the exam that I don’t remember. If I had done the CLI I probably would have scored in the mid 900’s.

Hi, passed ICND1 several days ago. Got two sims, as one was almost at the end of the exam. So consider to leave yourself enough time if they throw a sim question at you as last or close to last question. The sims were like the ones shown here, of course with different answers and a little changed configuration. So make sure you have practiced the Sims here a lot and that you understand the logic and commands behind them fully. STUDY THE BOOK! Watch videos and DO LABS. The simulators are similar but you have to understand the logic of the questions in order to pass.

i took the examen today and i passed thanks 9tut. 80% to 85% questions are from this website. It is very important you practise Composite Quizzes, and labs. Labs were exactly the same, just change a couple of questions but nothing special. Good luck.

had DHCP SIM exactly the same Security SIM was same but different IP’s were used on test
also there are a lot of different tests used by cisco so not exactly sure what you will get. One question that stumped me was what does the IP Helper address do? believe its on one of the composite test. In closing study the composite test first then do sims and then do new questions I only had one of the new questions on my exam (ICND1)

I would like to ask about the question 49,saying:
“Which protocol allows VLANs to be dynamically configured between multiple switches?”
A. IGMP
B. STP
C. VTP
D. 802.1Q
Is it the choice C-VTP the correct answer or maybe something that is missing? Personally, i think DTP (Dynamic Trunking Protocol) is the best answer for the particular question. What do you think? Please, may somebody explain the main difference between VTP, DTP and 802.1Q as well?

Passed the exam today 906/1000, 53 questions. About 80% of questions are here! I was little skeptical when i signed up here, but after the exam today, most of the questions are here. Just do the Composite Quizzes and simulations. My recommendations are just study hard for about a month (i used the CBTNuggets and Cisco official book), and then do all the quizzes and simulations here. Don’t buy anything from links that people are posting here, just use the stuff from premium subscription here and it will be enough.

i gave my ICND1 today and passed with 926 score. 9tut was a great help. 60-70% questions were from 9tut quizes and new questions.
I got the same questions on DHCP sim but the configurations were different and so the answers. Please do check the configuration before answering. i also got the show config simulator which was exactly same as the the show config simulator here. There were few new questions as well. one was for extended ping command, only one drag and drop which was on switch passwords (vty password, console password,etc). i got few IPV6 questions on SLAAC, reason for using IPv6.
FOr preparations i had read the book by odem wendell for ICND1 and practiced questions on 9tut and various other sites.

I will go for ICND1 and then ICND2 because I think it will be easier. I just recently discovered 9tut and I am not too sure what I should be practicing on? passed icnd2 at end of december, the sims on 9tut are relevant, but the questions are not, use as reference only, I read the cert guide books.
there were many questions on BGP, and SDWAN. alot of drag and drops not found on this site.
managed to only just pass with around 836.

Hi, everyone. Yesterday I passed the icnd1 with 948 scores. I want to say many thanks to the site cause about 30 percent of the exam questions were learnt from here. I must point that all the new drag&drop questions were included in the test. Also Cisco bulls students involving questions in the test that are out of the scope of the icnd1 learning material, it makes you feel unconfident, don’t lap it up, the questions arn’t scored. So Boson ExSim is also one of the most useful learning source. Actualy my exam looked like a pun or sitcom, my proctor couldn’t start the exam software firstly because of an error and she spent about a half hour to resolve the issue. So I said “Ok, madam” and used the time to write out notes from my brain it was like a cheat sheet, so that when I began my exam eventually several written out sheets surrounded me to help with the tasks)
Want to add the following books and study material I used
1) Todd Lammle CCNA Routing and Switching Complete Study Guide: Exam 100-105, Exam 200-105, Exam 200-125 – Good book, but has lots of gaps, you can use it as an introduction in networking.
2) Wendell Odom
CCENT/CCNA ICND1 100-105 Official Cert Guide – most comprehensive book specified for the exam, it very helped me. Start with it if you already have some network experience.
3) 9tut.net – nothing to add you have already known everything, see the previous comment.
4) Boson ExSim – it helped to apply everything i’ve learnt from the books because it has lots of questions that make you to ponder every step logically to answer them.
5) learncisco.net – it is also worth the time you will spend on.

Big thanks to 9tut. I somehow managed to pass my ICND1 but the exam was pretty intense. Quite a few questions on network fundamentals which I wasn’t as brushed up on as I should have been.
Also, I got so many drag and drop questions. Remember I had a few on receiving and sending packets/frames.
So yeah, Network Fundamentals revision & Drag and drops are worth knowing!
Still also had quite a few questions from 9tut, which I’m super grateful for being prepped for. All the best!!
Definitely memorise simlets on 9tut. I passed icnd1 and 2 of the simlets came up. More questions came up that I’d seen on PTP than 9tut though. Many many drag and drops, probably 6-8. Study layout of a TCP packet.
I only studied 3 weeks for my icnd1 exam and I failed!
please noticed all these 3 weeks I focused on 9tut and I am not regretting the result! I got 823!

I passed today my ICND1 with 948 passing score 832. There were like 40% of questions from here, thanks a lot 9tut, the simlabs are the same like here but can change only a few things. I got 5 drag and drop one of the routing procees that is: receive a packet, calculate the ip add, create the frame, encapsulated the packet within the frame and forward thepacket to the next hop.
The others were about: the ipv6 add types, dns lookup, cable type and about the fuctions of an acces point and a controller. There was a question about to how resequence an ip standard acl, the options were: dynamically acl number, beginning sequence number, ending acl number, acl name, increment. A question about what is true about 802.1q: non-propietary, use a 4 byte label after the source mac-adreess, a 20 bit for identify vlan ID, encpsulates packet in a trunk frame… and questions of networking fundamentals. There wasn´t subnneting questions so don´t focuse on it. Good luck 🙂

THERE WERE ALOT OF DRAP AND DROP QUESTIONS, REALTED TO SYSLOGS- THE RELEVENT COMMANDS AND THEIR ACTIONS , ALSO WHEN A FRAME IS SENT FROM HOST TO ROUTER ARRNAGE IN ORDER THE STEPS THE DATA IS PROCESSED (LIKE FRAME IS TX THEN ROUTER LOOK INTO THE IP ADDRESS OF PACKET AND THEN THE NEW FRAME IS BUILD….. ETC), WHAT TWO ADDRESS ARE USED TO BUILD IPV6 ADDRESS, ALSO DRAP DROP OF TCP HEADER FORMAT (EXACT PLACE IS THE STRUCTRE LIKE TOP LEFT IS SOURCE PORT THEN NEXT IS DESTINATION PORT THEN 2ND ROW IS SEQUNECE NUMBER THEN 3RD ROW IS ACK…..ETC)…. Do not rely on 9tut, its just cover the 30% portion of the exam. and the Sim lab is update too. Only 1 9TUT sims was covered.

Lots of drag and drop questions, Router receiving a packet, DNS, DHCP, IPV6, got a configuration sim on creating vlans and a lab that needed the command show. Some syslog questions also dont use dumps got about 20% of questions from here and rest where new cant stress enough how vital it is to know the basics, also look at router routes i.e Protocols.

I gave My ICND 1 on 13 march 19 and I passed my exam . But there are about only 30 % of question from 9tut including all topics quiz and new question.
it has more than 15 drop down questions, which all includes the mostly theory.
Please more focus on the each topic/ syllabus provided by the Cisco .
and it has 2 stimulater including one we have for Configuration Simulator as well another for creating VLANS in the switch and adding computer interface to it , and make connection as trunk port between the switches ( use encapsulation command) .

Passed ICND1 today. 867. Started studying a few months ago. I used video courses from Udemy, Boson practice exam and this site. If you mostly use this site you will be in great shape. Only about 30% of the questions here show up on the actual exam but learning all the material on this site will give you the knowledge you need. Plus quite a few of the labsims and drag and drop from this site showed up up and I bet those questions are worth more points.
Know what all the results of PING mean: ex ! & . u (know what each of these mean if returned when doing PING)
Memorize the commands to configure two switches trunked together with access ports and assign the access ports to a Vlan. Also name the Vlan.
I also saw other questions that have been mentioned in the comments above.
@Dude with a face. When you say 30% of the questions here show up on the exam. Are you referring to the 66 questions at the top of this screen here (also under the “ICND1v3 – New Questions” link) or do you mean 30% of the questions from the entire site?

Passed with just over 900. I thought I may have failed so hang in there. I got the VLAN sim, you had to name the VLANs and put the trunk config on the ports the connect the switches to each other, remember switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q! A lot of drag and drops like DHCP order, and a lot IPV6 questions. know the concepts.

Yes most of the questions were similar but like you said wordings and the orders of the answers were different. I was well prepared for the Subnet questions but I had only one question. Loads of switching questions on mine.
